I was grabbed by Royal's discount promotion, what a fun idea. I paid $59 for a portrait that was usually almost $150.00; or so I thought. Yesterday I asked where my portrait was, could you tell me the expected delivery date. To my surprise the response was, you did not order a portrait you only ordered a digital copy.
What, I went back to the order and can not see this language anywhere. How can they charge $59 for a simple cut and paste trick that anyone with a program could do in a couple of minutes.
I am totally bummed out about this bait and switch scam.
In fact this response is comes from an inquiry as to how I loved the art portrait.

Total waste. It was advertised as a Fatherās Day special with a āfree digital downloadā. The invoice stated on the first line item āfree digital downloadā. The second line item was an image of the canvas. Completely my fault for failing to read the line items, but I paid for a āfree digital downloadā and a ādigital downloadā. $60 and nothing but a digital pic of my husbands head being too large. Customer service wasnāt much help except to point out the the line item I paid for was only for a digital download. They never did explain what the āfree digital downloadā part of the deal was. Basically, bait and switch. Photoshop can do this in two minutes. Save your money.

I could tell once they sent the initial picture, let's just say it did not flatter my wife. I tried to cancel my order before production but they made it a hassle, would only give me 85% back. I said, whatever, we'll have a laugh at the thing. Just make sure if your wife isn't heavy, you don't pick one with a heavy queen.

Lousy/lazy customer service from beginning to end. Order #222208. Ordered artwork on Wednesday 4/24 w/ intent to receive product by Sun 5/12, Mother's Day (12 business days apart). On confirmation email, was told that I would receive the review/proof of artwork in 1-2 business days, however did not receive review until 4/27 (2 business days + 1 weekend day). This was the first red flag as I should have received the proof by the end of the business day of Friday 4/26, which I did not. I responded to the email and asked for certain minor modifications to be done (i.e. decrease head size, move crown, etc.); I asked for several versions of the proof to expedite the process, that way if one version didn't fit my liking, I might have another option ready to choose from in the same correspondence. I did not receive a response until 3 MORE days later, on 4/27. In that email, I was told by a 'Daniel T.' that "...rest assured, we're committed to ensuring your satisfaction with the final portrait." Six days later, on 5/3, I get ANOTHER email, this time from an 'Athena' thanking me for my email, and telling me that she has forwarded my request to the artists. Second red flag. Why am I receiving two separate emails, from two different people, about the same matter, almost a full week apart? What was the point of Daniel T's email if Athena's email held sway? Its confusing at best and misleading more accurately. On 5/4, I receive an email with what I was told is the second review, which should have contained the requested modifications to the artwork, and the multiple proofs as requested and acknowledged by TWO separate people. The proof I received on 5/4 was not only SINGULAR (my requests for multiple proofs to choose from was ignored), but it was the EXACT SAME proof that I originally received on 4/27! For 8 days, I was under the impression that modifications were being done, as had been communicated by Daniel T. and Athena. No modifications were done. Nothing! With the time constraint of Mother's day around the corner, against my better judgement, I approved the proof as I did not want to be empty handed for Mother's Day. Two days later, 5/6, I receive an email stating that my order is being produced. At this point, I've lost all hope of receiving the order by Mother's Day. I follow the directions that I received in the emails to track my order, which prompts me to download the app "SHOP". According to the App, my order is "delivered" on May 9; unfortunately, that "delivered" location is NOT to my house, instead it is to the local post office. I do not actually receive the artwork until 5/14, AFTER Mother's Day. Terrible experience through and through. I will be sure to comment on every ad on social media about my experience so that others will not have to experience what I did. If I could give 0 stars, it would be more fitting.

I got this as a gift for my grandmother, and she really wasnāt happy with itā¦ They chose oppose with her smilingā¦ And she said it also looked like her head didnāt match the body at allā¦ It was very poorly done with almost different shades of skin tone from the neck to the face portrait. They also donāt tell you, Until you place an order, from what I seeā¦ And maybe I missed it, but if you donāt like the first sample that they come out with, you have to pay $10 for each redo.
The whole thing was very cookie cutter, and I would definitely not order one of these again.
